BY CAR

Melling is situated approximately 11 miles North of Lancaster in the Lune Valley, on the A683, which runs between Junction 34 of the M6 (Lancaster North exit) and Kirkby Lonsdale.

Coming from Lancaster

having passed through the villages of Caton, Farleton, Claughton and Hornby the road takes you directly through the village itself.

If travelling from Lancaster, Green Close Studios is situated on the right hand side of the road just before Melling Institute on the left (which is a beige coloured village hall, with parking adjacent).

Turn right up the lane and we have parking for approx 5/ 6 cars.

Coming from A65/ Cumbria

From Junction 36 of the M6, take the A65 until Kirkby Lonsdale, just after KL, you’ll find Devil’s Bridge (which is on your left) take the A683 on your right - signposted to Lancaster. After passing through the villages of Burrow and Tunstall, you will reach the village of Melling; shortly after the narrow road area adjacent to the church on your left you will see a beige coloured village hall on your right. Green Close Studios is situated up the first lane on the left after the phone box opposite the village hall. Turn left up the lane and we have parking for approx 5/ 6 cars.

By Bus

Bus services run every 2 hours from Lancaster and Kirkby Lonsdale to Gillison Close in Melling.

By Rail

Lancaster Station (on London Euston to Glasgow Service) then approx 20mins by car or 35 mins by Bus service 81b

Or: to Wennington Station (on Leeds to Morecambe Line) approx 5 mins by car or 2 miles walk/cycle

Or: to Carnforth Station (change at Lancaster) approx 10 mins by car
